Plumber New Construction Experienced

PlumberWe are looking for an experienced plumber to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks ranging from leak repairs and installation of new piping. A successful plumber must have a knowledge of hydraulic systems. They are patient individuals with a practical mind and manual dexterity, able to work efficiently with great attention to detail and lift/carry 50+ pounds regularly. The goal is to install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases or hot liquids.Jobsites are in the Charlottesville area. You must have transportation to the jobsites. Carpooling is a potential option for the right candidate. Ability work with a team cooperatively, dependably report to work on time and on schedule. Additionally, reading blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems, a plus, Cutting, assembling and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring), Installing and maintaining water supply systemsResponsibilitiesCut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)Install and maintain water supply systemsLocate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.Repair/Install fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.Install appliances (e.g. dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator)Install and maintain gas linesInstall waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systemsRequirements and skillsProven experience as a plumber (1-3 years experience minimum)Understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial buildingsAbility to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)Good communication and interpersonal skillsFriendly with a great deal of patienceGood physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spacesDiploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship helpful but not requiredValid driver's license without negative pointsCompensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hourWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
