We are looking for a safety-minded, dependable, and physically active Local Class A CDL Driver for a dual Yard Hostler and Shuttle operation right here in the Phoenix area .
This is a critical role where timing, precision, and a strong safety focus keep our plant running smoothly. If you prefer a position that keeps you physically active over sitting in a cab all day, this is the perfect fit. You will be home daily , driving night shifts, and handling local shuttle runs alongside yard management.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)- Local Shuttle Work: Pick up trailers from the bakery and transport them to the Distribution Center (DC)—a short, efficient 7-mile run between locations.
- Yard Hostling: Perform yard jockeying and asset management at both the bakery and the DC.
- Cargo Security: Seal and secure all trailers before shuttling. (Accuracy prevents operational delays and plant shutdowns).
- Physical Unloading: Safely unload lift-gate trailers containing bread stacks and wheeled bread carts/trays at delivery or transit points.
- Flexibility: Assist with local delivery runs if bakery shuttle operations are caught up for the shift.
- Home Daily: Stable, predictable night-shift schedules so you sleep in your own bed every day.
- Consistent Pay: Reliable weekly income backed by hourly wages and per-stop unloading bonuses.
- Average Weekly Pay: $1300 weekly ($12/hour plus $45 per loaded stop)
