About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901!

• Provide direct patient care on a Renal Medical-Surgical unit serving an adult to geriatric population, with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 and an average daily census of 48 across 49 rooms
• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of routine patient assessment
• Document and manage patient care using Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and adhere to the facility's holiday work expectations as assigned during the contract period

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted - charge experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, and no RTO may be requested during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

• Prior charge nurse experience on a Medical-Surgical or Renal unit
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations in an acute care setting

• Work in a high-census, fast-paced Renal Med-Surg environment with consistent patient volume and opportunities to expand clinical expertise
• No on-call requirements, offering a more predictable schedule within a structured contract framework
