Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice law in New York and have 4+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience with a focus on lease drafting, review, and negotiation. Candidates from in-house or solo practice backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Job Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial retail leases with a strong focus on tenant representation
• Prepare and negotiate ancillary transactional documents including term sheets, letters of intent, lease amendments, assignments, and surrenders
• Handle asset purchase agreements from due diligence through closing on both buy-side and sell-side transactions
• Counsel clients directly on transactional strategy and legal risk, building trusted relationships
• Manage a heavy, deadline-driven caseload independently from start to finish
• Communicate with clients via email and phone with a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness
• Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment while taking full ownership of your matters

Qualifications

• Active New York State bar admission required
• 4+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience, with hands-on lease drafting, review, and negotiation
• Strong legal writing, drafting, and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with the NYC hospitality, food, and beverage industry is a plus
• In-house or solo practice backgrounds considered
