Radiologic Technologist

Overview Join Desert Radiology as a Radiologic Technologist (PRN) and transform your career in radiology. Position Summary Provides healthcare services by applying x-ray energy to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients using radiographic procedures. Performs imaging techniques to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by a licensed practitioner. Desirable Professional Skills and Experience Demonstrates competency and proficiency in radiographic examinations and equipment in the assigned work area following established protocols. Proper patient and equipment positioning; selection of appropriate image receptor and radiographic techniques. Utilizes digital information systems in performance of duties, including Radiology Information System (RIS) and Synapse. Identifies patients, reviews requisitions for consistencies with the ordered examination, and ensures patient safety through appropriate care and support devices. Reviews patient charts for exam referrals/orders with attention to special instructions and notes; assesses patient condition to ensure successful completion of radiologic procedures. Records patient history as required; maintains quality assurance/control records per policy and credentialing requirements; verifies procedures match RIS listings and are properly coded. Compensation The hourly range for this position is $25.00-$40.00. Final determinations may vary based on education, experience, certifications, and location. In addition to the base range, there are potential incentives and a range of benefits including health options, 401k, and other programs subject to eligibility.
