Network Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery

Infra Delivery Install Technicians will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions to keep our network running seamlessly. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll work with a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards of safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost. Key Job Responsibilities Move and implement large enterprise equipment. Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment. Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation. Follow well established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities. Safely use material handling tools and equipment. Travel within and outside the regional work area; must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work 24/7 including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed. Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments. Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation. Essential Requirements Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed; willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational. Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility. Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites. Basic Qualifications 1+ year of computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or experience in a similar technical or vocational role. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+), or relevant field experience such as computer science or networking engineering. Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies. Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment. Additional Information Amazon does not sponsor immigration visas for this role and offers a lump‑sum stipend to eligible candidates who relocate. Travel is required; company transportation will not be provided.
