Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist in Dallas, TX for a 13-week travel assignment requiring RCIS or ARRT(R) certification and 2+ years of cath lab experience.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting
• 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required one day per week, one weekend every 6 weeks, and one call-free week

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• RCIS or ARRT(R) certification required
• TX MRT license required
• Active TX license required for applicable profession
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac/vascular instrumentation and techniques
• Computer literacy and basic office equipment proficiency required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccination mandatory with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Scrub in and assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and diagnostic/interventional coronary and peripheral procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, circulate in procedure rooms, and collect procedural data
• Monitor patient ECG and vital signs during procedures and respond to emergencies as needed
• Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care and transport
• Document and enter catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis calculations
• Maintain inventory and stock of procedure room supplies and equipment
• Follow national and state radiation protection regulations
• Scrubs provided
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; no local travelers accepted
