Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab environment, supporting patient assessment, preparation, and post-procedure care. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and sedatives during cardiac procedures.
• Assist physicians and technologists during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Document patient care, procedure details, and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families on procedure preparation, expectations, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout all stages of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State RN license.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications through the AHA.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and electrophysiology procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including potential call shifts.
