Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 02:00 PM - 02:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH Certification, CPI/MOAB Must-Have: - Ability to perform self-study on telemetry strips - Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test to work in the Emergency Department Description: The RN in the Emergency Room is responsible for identifying patient needs and prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Must be able to triage every patient safely, rapidly, and accurately. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. While on call is not regular, occasional on-call duty may be required during low census. If called in, must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every third weekend is required. Every other holiday rotation is required. A basic dysrhythmia test-out will be administered during the first week of the assignment. Passing this test is mandatory to work in the Emergency Department.
