Responsibilities Manage investment activities for a reduced set of major fee‑revenue producing accounts (80% capacity), representing large and sensitive high‑net‑worth personal trusts and individual investment portfolios. Develop, recommend, and direct the execution of programs designed to achieve investment objectives for specific individual clients. Analyze and plan overall investment strategy with continuous revision as goals and objectives change, working closely with client‑service team to identify and execute opportunities. Maintain an integral presence within the local client‑facing team, clients, co‑trustees, consultants, bank legal, and external attorneys to ensure communication of client requirements and coordinate portfolio activity. Integrate new investment strategies, tools, and capabilities, and portfolio research through regular engagement with the National Investment and Goals‑Driven Wealth Management Practices. Participate in the development of new investment business with sales staff as appropriate. Exercise investment practice oversight for the market as an extension of the National Investment Practice. Accountable for personal and team adherence to best practices as measured by the PM Dashboard and related reporting. Encourage investment partner engagement in thought‑leadership publications, educational opportunities, and practice‑hosted symposiums and events. Execute initiatives, new capability rollouts, and required training. Hire, retain, and develop talent; participate in the selection process of new hires and integrate Investment Practice priorities into partner performance reviews. Develop local market strategic plan and set goals and priorities based on direction set for the business unit, region, and market; follow through to ensure objectives are met. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering employee engagement, diversity, teamwork, and communication. Advocate on behalf of the team, continually collecting feedback on areas for improvement and advising leadership on national initiatives, changes, and expectations. Provide oversight, leadership, and guidance in adherence to National Investment Guidelines, facilitation of the REV peer review process, and ensuring sound risk‑management practices. Serve on standing investment services committees and participate in special projects as appropriate. Direct resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking. Apply broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to drive financial performance and broaden organizational impact. Knowledge & Experience 15+ years of investment experience as a portfolio manager, with consistent long‑term performance meeting account objectives and client goals, adhering to best practices and sound risk management. Knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting, financial principles, strategies and instruments; delivered through formal education and work experience. Sales and negotiating skills to guide sensitive or difficult situations. Leadership and organizational skills to determine unit goals, allocate resources, and assess staff development, supporting regional and practice priorities. Ability to negotiate with senior leaders across the business. Salary Range $236,555 – $414,115 USD (base pay).
