Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for our Grantsville, MD location. Our Technical Operators perform various functions in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the multiple plants maintained daily. The job description below are the kind of tasks, duties, and responsibilities needed to be performed by Technical Operators of water supply & wastewater plants: Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers. Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring. Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours. Service and maintain equipment and overall plant. Clean sand filters and media filters. Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment). Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies. Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports. Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results The Technical Operator position holds multiple levels, based on experience and state certifications. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $41,600-$72,800.
