To accomplish this goal, we must constantly strive to expand and improve housing and related services through dedication, integrity, compassion, and responsiveness to all the needs of those we serve.About this position: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of maintenance and custodial tasks to include but not limited to, conducting repairs and preventative maintenance to low rent housing, operating equipment, performing grounds maintenance, collecting litter, and cleaning units/make ready.Minimum QualificationsTwo years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:Makes general repairs to buildings, interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems, and other mechanical and related fields such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.Performs minor maintenance on all equipment assignedPosition-Specific Details:Appointment Type: Probational AppointmentCareer Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG.Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.
