Senior Program Manager

Microsoft's Windows Device Sales (WDS) organization partners with the world's largest device and technology companies to bring Microsoft software and services to market through compelling hardware solutions globally. WDS plays a critical role in driving Microsoft's revenue, profitability, and platform growth by shaping the device ecosystem across OEMs, channels, distributors, resellers, and silicon partners.

As part of the WDS Business and Strategy Operations organization, the Business Operations team manages the day-to-day execution of defined Enterprise programs and approved investments. The team partners across Sales, Category, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, PMO, and investment program owners to coordinate delivery activities, manage program operations, and support measurable business outcomes within the established operating model and execution framework.

WDS is expanding its Enterprise Commercial initiatives and establishing a new Senior Program Manager role focused on Enterprise Program Execution. This role is responsible for managing the daily execution of defined Enterprise programs and approved investments, coordinating activities across investment owners and operational partners, and ensuring delivery commitments, issues, risks, and outcomes remain visible and actively managed.

As Senior Program Manager , Enterprise Program Execution, you will manage established Enterprise programs You will run day-to-day program execution, coordinate cross-functional activities, manage milestones and dependencies, resolve delivery issues, and provide timely status and outcome reporting.

Role Scope & Impact

* Manage the day-to-day execution of defined Enterprise programs and approved investments through implementation, completion, and ongoing operations.

* Apply the defined operating model, program requirements, governance, plan of record, funding parameters, and success measures to daily program execution.

* Coordinate delivery across investment program owners, Sales, Category, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, PMO, and other execution partners.

* Establish execution rhythms that provide visibility into delivery health, investment status, dependencies, risks, decisions, and outcomes.

* Drive issue resolution and escalation to keep investment activities progressing against approved objectives and requirements.

* Operate established execution methods, playbooks, reporting mechanisms, and handoff practices; identify improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage assigned Enterprise program workstreams.

* Maintain and administer the approved plan of record, including milestones, deliverables, owners, dependencies, decision points, risks, communications, and completion criteria.

* Coordinate investment delivery activities across funding, program, operational, sales, partner, legal, compliance, and finance stakeholders.

* Confirm execution teams understand the defined requirements, roles, handoffs, controls, and operating assumptions before delivery activities begin.

* Establish working-team cadences, execution reviews, risk and issue management, decision logs, action tracking, and stakeholder communications.

* Drive accountability for commitments, deliverables, dependencies, approvals, issue resolution, and follow-through across execution partners.

* Monitor investment execution against approved scope, requirements, timing, funding parameters, controls, and success measures; surface material variances for decision or escalation.

* Provide PMO with timely workstream status, timing, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcome information for overall Enterprise program tracking and leadership reporting.

* Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure execution follows approved funding requirements, controls, documentation, and operational processes.

* Identify execution bottlenecks, process gaps, and AI/automation opportunities.

* Support business reviews and investment reviews with concise, data-informed updates, risks, decisions, recommendations, and outcome insights.

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND 8+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional execution involving multiple stakeholders, interdependent workstreams, governance requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Experience developing execution plans and using status reporting, dashboards, scorecards, or operational reviews to manage delivery health and business outcomes.

Additional or preferred qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related field, or related field.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience executing investments, incentive programs, offers, funding mechanisms, partner programs, or commercial sales initiatives.
• Strong understanding of program execution, operational readiness, investment activation, controls, handoffs, and run-and-sustain transition practices.
• Experience managing daily delivery within a defined program strategy, operating model, governance framework, and plan of record.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent investment workstreams with competing priorities, complex dependencies, and global stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience using data to identify risks, monitor progress, and inform decisions.
• Experience operating in a complex, highly matrixed environment and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Ability to communicate execution status, tradeoffs, risks, decisions, and asks clearly to working teams and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to operate repeatable execution mechanisms, recommend process improvements, and drive operational excellence at scale.

Sales Operations IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
