Laser Cutter Operator— Long Beach, CA

Title: Laser Cutter Operator (CNC) Pay Rate: $40/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday (shift TBD)
Industry: Aerospace / Manufacturing
Work Location: Long Beach, CA (on-site)

About the Role

Aerospace MFG is seeking an experienced Laser Cutter Operator to run and maintain CNC laser cutting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role focused on quality, safety, and meeting production deadlines.

What You’ll Do

Operate and maintain laser cutting machines for cutting/shaping/profiling various materials
Review work orders, blueprints, and CAD files to confirm cutting specs and methods
Set up machines, load material, align parts, and secure clamping/fixturing
Program cutting paths/parameters using CNC controls/software
Monitor and adjust settings (speed, pressure, etc.) to ensure clean, accurate cuts
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
Perform routine checks/maintenance on cutting components; escalate complex issues as needed
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process problems to minimize downtime
Document setups, material usage, and production counts accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace and follow all safety requirements

Required Qualifications

3+ years in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience as a Laser Cutter Operator (or closely related CNC cutting role)
Strong understanding of CNC controls, programming basics, and tooling related to laser cutting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings/CAD files
Proficient with precision measurement tools and quality checks
Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills (data entry and machine interface work)
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically able to lift materials and safely operate machinery

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical/vocational training in machine operation or related field
