Physical Therapist

SOVAH Health in Danville, VA., is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of a Program in Physical Therapy required.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of therapy coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.

Required Licenses:

• Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice as a Physical Therapist required.
• Current Virginia Driver's Licensure required.
