Physicist for AI Model Training (Gravitation/Cosmology/Astrophysics) [Remote]

Provide advanced analytical and numerical physics expertise in gravitation, cosmology, and astrophysics for a research-driven benchmark used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. Work will focus on frontier topics including Dynamical Chern-Simons gravity, the first-order Palatini tetrad formalism, FRW cosmology, quadratic inflation, and related phenomena.

• Develop detailed analytical and numerical solutions in first-order Palatini gravity using tetrad and spin connection approaches.
• Compute and analyze Pontryagin density contributions and assess their implications in extended gravity theories, including Chern-Simons modifications.
• Formulate, solve, and interpret Friedmann ordinary differential equations with torsion in cosmological contexts.
• Integrate coupled, nonlinear ODE systems with advanced numerical methods, validate results, and provide physical interpretation using Planck-unit normalization.
• Contribute high-quality domain knowledge, worked examples, and evaluations that will be used to train and benchmark AI models.
• Depending on expertise, be considered for specialized roles such as Solver, Auditor, or Adjudicator with defined scopes and deliverables.

• Advanced academic background, for example PhD or equivalent, in physics with emphasis on gravitation, cosmology, or astrophysics.
• Hands-on experience with first-order Palatini gravity, including tetrad and spin connection formalisms and higher-order curvature corrections.
• Proven ability to derive, solve, and interpret nonlinear ODE systems relevant to cosmology and gravitational physics, including Friedmann equations with torsion.
• Familiarity with Pontryagin density and Chern-Simons modifications and their physical consequences.
• Experience applying Planck-unit normalization and producing physically consistent theoretical and computational results.
• No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise is the primary qualification.

• Engagement type: Contractor, fully remote.
• Assignments are project-driven and research-focused; candidates may be placed into specific tasks or specialized assignments based on subject-matter fit.
• This is an independent contractor role; candidates must be able to contract for remote work.

Pay range: $80 - $160 per hour.
