As our Injection Molding Process & Automation Engineer, you’ll develop and refine process standards, elevate quality systems, and launch improvements that impact both current and next-generation products on the plant floor.

A day in the life

Morning starts with a quick scan of quality dashboards and production KPIs. You walk the molding cells, check fill/pack/hold profiles, and review last night’s alarms. A Fanuc robot needs a minor path tweak to prevent part scuffing—done. Before lunch, you design a DOE to validate a new resin parameter window. Afternoon brings a cross-functional huddle with maintenance and operators to lock in a stable, documented process for a new tool. You finish by capturing lessons learned and updating work instructions.

What you will do

• Develop, document, and optimize molding and assembly processes that improve yield, cycle time, and part quality for both existing and new products.
• Own quality procedures on the line: apply data-driven problem solving, SPC, and corrective actions to reduce scrap and variability.
• Program, adjust, and troubleshoot industrial robots (Fanuc highly preferred) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient part handling.
• Lead structured experiments (DOE) to establish robust processing windows and validate changes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with industrial automation and auxiliary equipment alongside maintenance and production teams.
• Standardize work and train operators/technicians on best practices and new procedures.

Schedule & employment

• Direct-hire role (no contract or temp period)
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with flexible scheduling

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience; automotive background preferred.
• Experience as a Process Technician and/or Process Engineer.
• Injection molding expertise, including start-up, setup, and parameter optimization.
• Industrial robot programming skills; Fanuc experience strongly preferred.
• Proven troubleshooting ability for industrial automation equipment.
• Process engineering fundamentals, production optimization, and quality control data analysis.
• Process development experience and competency with Design of Experiments (DOE).
