About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in specialty License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: NRP, CPR/BCLS (AHA or ARC only) Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred Preferred certifications: CLE, IBCLC Description: The role involves working in a Mother-Baby/Well Baby Nursery setting. You will provide care for patients during the postpartum period. The patient population includes both vaginal and cesarean section deliveries. Experience with managing patients requiring magnesium sulfate, gestational hypertension, and other related conditions is essential. You will work in a nurse-patient ratio of 1:3. The shift will involve direct patient care during the night. Professional appearance is required, with adherence to the dress code. You will document patient care using an electronic medical record system. Support from respiratory care and anesthesia is available 24/7. Floating to similar units may be required as needed. You will be responsible for various procedures including IV starts and patient assessments. This position emphasizes a collaborative approach to nursing care.
