Senior Network Architect

Network ArchitectSan Jose, CA (onsite)ResponsibilitiesDesign and Implement Network Architectures: Develop robust and scalable network architectures that meet current and future business requirements.Collaborate with Departments: Work with IT and other departments to assess networking needs and provide tailored solutions.Manage Network Infrastructure: Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and wireless systems.Ensure Network Security: Design and implement firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption solutions.Troubleshoot and Optimize: Resolve complex networking issues and optimize network performance for high availability and reliability.Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends in networking technologies and suggest improvements.Lead and Mentor: Guide and provide technical expertise to the network engineering team.Document Networks: Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams and configurations.Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery plans for network continuity.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely support and equipment procurement.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: Proven experience as a Network Architect with strong knowledge of networking protocols.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
