Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, you play a vital role in caring for patients and ensuring a safe, supportive environment during their recovery. What You'll Do Assist patients with activities of daily living. Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Observe and record patient behavior and activities, and report any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff, suggesting modifications to the treatment plan. Provide crisis intervention for incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory). Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS certificate, or obtain within 45 days of hire. Handle with Care (HWC) certification, or obtain within 45 days of hire.
