Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room Location: Beaufort Memorial Hospital Employment Type: Full‑Time / Part‑Time PRN Shift: – not applicable – Exempt/Non‑Exempt: Non‑Exempt Description The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. The individual is responsible for directing ancillary personnel during the implementation of the patient’s plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. This role performs within the limits of the SC Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice. Requirements Education: Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License. Experience: Previous experience preferred. Certifications/Licenses: Current South Carolina RN license. BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association). ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
