Base Pay This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience. Purpose Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start‑to‑finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience Degree in Design is a plus Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Proficient in basic mathematical skills Must be self‑motivated and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position Essential Functions Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk‑in needs Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow‑up, including consistent and concise communication to customers and others Use company communication tools and emails consistently Collaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals Support company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees Engage in current and emerging design trends in your market Understand and utilize design applications (Salesforce, proprietary online design appointment scheduler, MyProject) Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions Limited travel by car may be required Frequently exposed to warehouse environment and moving vehicles; moderate to noisy noise level Physical requirements: lift 20‑50 lbs occasionally, 10‑25 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly; use hands and fingers; stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl Store Hours Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pickup Hours Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Benefits & Rewards Bonus opportunities & career advancement at every level 401k with company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and Referral Bonus Program Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and other insurance plans (subject to eligibility) Paid vacation and sick time for eligible associates Paid holidays plus a personal holiday Paid Volunteer Time Off that starts on Day 1 Equal Employment Opportunity Floor & Decor provides equal employment opportunities to all associates and applicants without regard to age, race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, ethnicity, citizenship, or any other category protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
