Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients following open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and other cardiac conditions. The RN will work in a Level II Trauma Center environment, float between units as needed, and adhere to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; ACLS, BLS, CCRN certifications; 2 years of experience in cardiovascular intensive care; experience with chest tube management, arterial line care, and ventilator management; proficiency in Epic charting system; minimum 0 years of experience in ICU setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior community hospital experience, trauma level II certification, experience with ECLS, and familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Float: Float rotation may be required between units based on staffing needs
• Additional Information: The unit provides care for post-open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, cardiac patients requiring TTM and pressors, patients in cardiogenic shock, and those with multisystem organ failure. Special equipment includes arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, and various cardiac devices. The patient census averages 22 daily with 28 beds in the unit. Orientation totals 36 hours. Candidates must include RTO requests during submission and respond to specific screening questions related to previous Providence facility experience.
