Job Description
Preschool looking for a Teacher Assistant 12:00-5:30, Monday through Friday to support daily classroom activities by assisting the lead teacher and ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. The role requires collaboration with the Director and Classroom Teacher, as well as regular interaction with parents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with daily classroom activities and learning exercises
- Monitor and report on children’s behavior to teachers
- Prepare snacks and manage hygiene routines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom
- Communicate regularly with teachers
- Support safety protocols and emergency procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of documented experience working with young children- can be babysitting
- Strong childcare skills and knowledge
- Effective communication abilities
- Patience and excellent observation skills
- Reliability and timeliness
