Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable Day Shifts, Monday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 40-hour guarantee, every third weekend required, 1-2 call nights per week

Hours per Week: 50

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of complex CVOR surgical procedures and anticipate surgeon needs
• Maintain sterile field integrity and quickly address any breaks in technique
• Assemble and verify all instruments, supplies, and equipment before each case
• Accurately track medications, sharps, sponges, and instruments throughout procedures
• Float to General OR when CVOR volume is low to support the broader surgical team

Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA certification required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 5 years of CVOR experience with open heart cases
• Comfortable floating to General OR when needed
• Experience at a tertiary care or Level I/II trauma center preferred

• Equipment assembly and sterilization
• Accurate counting and documentation
• Problem-solving under pressure
