You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilitiesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectivenessApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automationProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and securityUnderstanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practicesSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDocumentation and execution of test scenarios – identify specific scenarios and write test scripts using Business Driven Development for example GherkinPartner closely with Operations, Product and Technology groupsTaking responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of Testing defects and the re-testing processDeputizing for the Test Manager as necessary in Project calls and communications with relevant colleaguesValidation and presentation of Test Results for internal Sign-offAbility to work with the minimum supervision on day-to-day activitiesStrong organizational skills – ability to dynamically manage and oversee critical testing tasks accurately and to tight deadlinesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills•Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sectors with working knowledge of Payments Message Processing/Validation with formats like ISO20022 pacs.008, pacs.009, pacs.004, pain.001, camt.056Experience with (Selenium, Python, Java, BDD Cucumber and Data Engineering) MethodologiesGood knowledge of JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
