Position Summary and Qualifications

The staff respiratory therapist is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all areas of Respiratory Care and other multidisciplinary skills as outlined by training and competency assessments. The Respiratory Therapist will be accountable for carrying out assigned tasks, ensuring all care adheres to hospital and respiratory policies. There may be opportunities to work with Respiratory Students in a clinical setting.

Required Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT).
• State certification as a Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP).
• Relevant certification.
