Civil Structural Engineer

Overview Our Client are looking to recruit a Civil / Structural Engineer to support heavy industrial projects out of their offices east of Houston. Job Responsibilities Review isometric drawings and specifications from vendors Review geotechnical reports and EOR documents and drawings Support project site teams with Requests for Information (RFI) Review subcontractor design and shop drawings Identify discrepancies in scope of work, contract, plans, or specifications and obtain resolution Review order forms for equipment such as pipes, valves, etc Support proposal efforts in civil design and quantities Perform quantitative tracking and report work progress weekly with Project Controls team Ensure federal, state, and local compliance codes, compliance of drawings, and permit drawings Education and Experience Requirements 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Environmental Engineering, or a similar field. 2+ years of experience in thermal energy (combined-cycle or simple-cycle) power plant construction, or other large-scale industrial projects. Familiar with AutoCAD Civil3D. Proficient with standard computer programs, particularly Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF.
