Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher with a strong background in math for a rewarding, full-time contract role serving middle school students in a self-contained classroom. What we’re looking for:

• Current licensure or certification to teach Special Education at the middle school level
• Solid experience working with special education populations, particularly in a self-contained setting
• Comfortable teaching math content to students with varying abilities
• Proven ability to design and implement differentiated lesson plans
• Skilled in developing and managing IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborating with families and staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging math instruction tailored to individual learning profiles in a self-contained classroom
• Managing a middle school caseload and providing direct support to each student’s academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Creating and maintaining accurate documentation including IEPs, lesson plans, and student progress reports
• Working collaboratively with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure all students receive appropriate accommodations and interventions
• Actively participating in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives to enhance student outcomes
• Ensuring ongoing communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and needs
