Sterile Compounding & Processing Pharmacy Technician

Salary: $18-$24+/hour (Negotiable) plus health benefits, PTO, and more. Job Summary Our client is seeking a versatile Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, Monday–Friday position in the Metro Detroit area. This role focuses primarily on pharmacy "front-end" processing—including patient intake and insurance authorizations—while also providing support in sterile IV compounding. It is an ideal fit for a technician who enjoys balancing clinical cleanroom work with essential administrative coordination in a home infusion setting. Key Responsibilities Manage new patient referrals, verify medical/pharmacy insurance benefits, and coordinate prior authorizations. Prepare sterile IV admixtures (TPN, antibiotics, etc.) in a cleanroom environment following USP / guidelines. Schedule medication deliveries and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure a seamless start of care. Maintain batch records, monitor compounding supplies, and ensure all records meet regulatory standards. Assist the pharmacist with labeling, packaging, and general pharmacy operations. Qualifications Active Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Michigan (Required). National CPhT required (or obtained within 6 months of hire). 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience. 1+ year of sterile compounding experience (Hospital or Infusion setting).
