Production Supervisor Job Details
Pay Rate : $80,000-$90,000 annually
Location : Dayton, OH
Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM-11:00 AM
Production Supervisor Requirements/Qualifications
- Manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
- Machining or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Hands-on manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with production, quality, scheduling, and customer service teams preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using production systems, reports, and business software.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional technical or leadership training is preferred.
As a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead daily production activities with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Maintain accountability and clear communication throughout the production team.
- Coach, mentor, train, and support Team Leads and production employees.
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor.
- Assist with equipment operation, setups, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Identify production bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement.
- Help ensure production schedules and staffing align with operational priorities.
- Promote safety, quality, housekeeping, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support employee development through cross-training and skill development.
- Work closely with Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and Production teams.
- Use production data and operational reporting to help improve performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
