Events Director

We're seeking a strategic, hands‑on, and highly driven Events Director to join the Copper & Kings team and lead the next chapter of our growth. This role owns our events business end to end — weddings, corporate gatherings, private parties, and brand experiences — at one of Louisville's most distinctive distillery venues. You'll work closely with leadership, hospitality, sales, and marketing to turn our venue into a destination event brand — building the systems, and sales pipeline needed to book more events and deliver a flawless guest experience at every one of them. What You Can Expect A collaborative, fast‑paced environment at one of Louisville's most distinctive distilleries Real ownership of a growing business line, with a clear mandate and the room to build it your way Close collaboration with company leadership and the broader hospitality and marketing teams Competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a creative spirits brand On‑site work at our Butchertown distillery Full‑time employees eligible for benefits (healthcare, paid time off) Your Responsibilities Own the events business end to end, from strategy to on‑site execution Build and run the full sales pipeline for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and brand activations — inquiry through booking through execution Develop pricing, packages, and venue offerings that make Copper & Kings the obvious choice for events in Louisville Personally lead sales outreach and relationship‑building with planners, corporate accounts, and past guests to build repeat and referral business Plan and execute flawless events on‑site, managing vendors, staff, timelines, and guest experience from load‑in to load‑out Build out the team, processes, and tools (booking systems, staffing plans, vendor network) needed to support higher volume without sacrificing quality Partner with marketing to promote the venue and build a steady inbound lead flow through digital, social, and local partnerships Collaborate with hospitality and brand teams to ensure every event reflects the Copper & Kings brand and product Track booking volume and guest satisfaction, and adjust strategy based on what's working Represent Copper & Kings with energy, hustle, and confidence — this role sets the tone for the whole events business What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in events, hospitality, venue management, or a related field A builder's mindset — someone energetic and hungry, who wants to grow a business rather than maintain one Strong sales instincts and comfort owning revenue targets, not just execution Excellent organizational skills and the ability to run multiple events and priorities at once without dropping anything Hands‑on leadership style — comfortable both closing a corporate deal and being on‑site the night of a wedding Strong communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams Experience managing staff, vendors, or contractors is a plus Entrepreneurial attitude and comfort working in a fast‑paced growth environment Passion for hospitality, events, spirits, or lifestyle brands Based in or willing to relocate to Louisville, KY Copper & Kings is an equal opportunity employer.
