Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Administrative Assistant to support our Superintendent on an active commercial construction project in Stamford, CT. This position is ideal for someone with previous construction administrative or field support experience who thrives in a fast-paced job site environment.

The Construction Assistant will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the project by managing documentation, tracking labor, maintaining records, and providing administrative support to the field team. Experience working with an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contractor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily job site administration.
• Prepare, collect, and maintain employee timecards and labor records.
• Complete daily reports, field reports, and other required project documentation.
• Maintain organized project files, logs, and correspondence.
• Track and distribute project paperwork, including RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation as directed.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and office staff.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries, inspections, and meetings.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Support general job site operations and perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting construction projects in an administrative or field support role.
• Experience working on commercial construction projects; MEP experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with construction management software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative project team.
• Reliable transportation to the Stamford, CT job site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction documentation and terminology.
• Experience processing timecards, daily reports, and project records.
• Familiarity with OSHA job site safety requirements.
