Masimo, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Software Quality Engineer to manage the quality, compliance, and risk management of medical device software throughout the product lifecycle. The role supports software verification, cybersecurity assessments, and regulatory compliance in a quality compliance team based in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

Support software risk management activities including hazard analysis and failure mode assessments
Review software design deliverables and assess compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Review and approve software development documentation including requirements, architecture, and test protocols
Support cybersecurity threat modeling and security risk assessment activities
Assist with vulnerability monitoring, assessment, and remediation tracking

Requirements

1+ years quality engineering or software quality experience in regulated industry
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile or waterfall methodologies
Experience supporting software verification and validation activities
Knowledge of risk management and compliance principles for regulated products

Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 base, plus 10% target bonus
