About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: - Advanced skills needed - BLS - NIH Stroke Scale Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Current number of beds is 30, but currently at 18 due to renovations in process. Patient ratios are 6-7:1. Unit staffing includes team nursing approach with techs available on the unit. Unit secretaries and techs are on the unit with a charge nurse to support the team. Documentation system is Meditech. Must work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period. Required to float to like units as needs dictate. Must perform hourly safety rounds and perform bedside shift report with patients. Dress code requires navy color uniforms. Supportive management, emphasis on teamwork, and excellent work-life balance are key reasons for working here.
