About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: South Carolina RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry - Experience with EPIC documentation system - Knowledge of medication system Omnicell Description: The position requires a Day shift of three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Floating to other units or facilities is required as needed. Weekend coverage is needed every other weekend, with variation based on unit needs. The position involves working with adults and includes an average daily census of approximately 20 patients. Staffing ratios are approximately 5 patients per nurse. The role requires proficiency in blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and remote telemetry monitoring. Candidates should be familiar with the interpretation of dysrhythmias and care of surgical drains. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapists, and pharmacists, is essential. Selected applicants will undergo pre-assignment testing and complete required modules. Floating is required based on census needs. Travelers must be qualified for the units they float to, and prior competencies should be documented. Applicants should be prepared for annual compliance requirements and a pre-assignment testing process to ensure readiness.
