DETECTIVE

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED

• Must have 2 years as Law Enforcement Officer

• Adhere to an on-call rotation which requires to respond after hours when needed

• Must have a valid NC Driver's License and have no felony convictions

• BLET certification required (out of state certifications can transfer to NC)

• Cannot have been convicted of DUI, DWI, or certain misdemeanors within 5 years

• Applicants will be required to submit to the standard City and Police Department's hiring process to include the Criminal Investigation's Division selection procedure
