Sustainability Coordinator

The Sustainability Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing and promoting the University Housing and Dining (UHD) sustainability initiatives, focusing significantly on student engagement and activities. This position involves developing partnerships, conducting outreach, representing UHD in sustainability spaces, administrative needs, and managing the UT Farm Stand student program. The Coordinator will recruit, hire, and manage student workers, fostering a hands-on educational environment for students.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative oversight for the UT Farm Stand student programs.
• Managing student communications and acting as liaison between student employees, garden coordinator, and sustainability manager.
• Managing UT Farm Stand social media accounts and posting schedule in collaboration with UHD Marketing.
• Supporting UHD's presence on campus and beyond in sustainability spaces in collaboration with Sustainability Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• At least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering a sustainability program or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with food production, farmer's markets, food procurement, education/outreach, and/or data tracking.
• Experience managing entry-level staff and/or students.
• Experience with presentations and/or press inquiries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Salary Range

$45,750 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift

• Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Hours and days can vary and may include nights and weekends depending on business needs.
