As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a highly experienced and professional Senior Financial Accountant with a specialization in Value Added Tax (VAT) to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities VAT Compliance and Filing Take ownership of VAT compliance across multiple European entities, ensuring accurate and timely filing of VAT returns in accordance with local regulations. Conduct regular reviews to identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues related to VAT compliance. Stay abreast of changes in VAT regulations across different countries and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Intercompany Transactions Manage and oversee intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline intercompany processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with finance teams in various European countries to gather relevant financial information for VAT filings. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during VAT audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Process Optimization Continuously assess and improve VAT and intercompany accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and leverage technology to automate routine tasks where possible. Reporting Prepare and analyze financial reports related to VAT and intercompany transactions for senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision‑making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable. Extensive experience (6+ years) in financial accounting, with a focus on VAT compliance and intercompany transactions. In-depth knowledge of European VAT regulations and a proven track record of successfully managing VAT filings across multiple jurisdictions. Strong understanding of international accounting standards and principles. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Oracle knowledge is a plus.
