Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN Certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS Must-Have: PALS, NRP, BLS Description: This is a position for a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics. The role involves caring for pediatric patients, including newborns to 17 years old. The unit has a bed capacity of 8 with patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1, depending on acuity. Common diagnoses and treatments include failure to thrive, hyperbilirubinemia, bronchiolitis, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), respiratory distress, nausea/vomiting, and post-operative care following tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. The nursing staff is expected to be self-motivated and possess strong assessment skills. The ability to multitask is essential for success in this role. The dress code requires scrubs in royal blue. No unacceptable attire is allowed. Weekend work is expected, with two weekend shifts per month. Additionally, floating to mother/baby well baby care may be required.
