Adjunct Instructor

Position Overview The Adjunct Instructor (faculty member) will provide instruction in the appropriate field. Additionally, the adjunct instructor will develop curriculum, syllabus, assessment of program and course learning outcomes and provide instructional materials and personal insight to provide students with the most optimum opportunity to learn a particular course of study. Responsibilities The position includes teaching assigned classes that are currently offered in the daytime, but late afternoon/evening could be possible. In addition, the instructor will organize and deliver class syllabi and objectives in a clear, concise manner; maintain an organized and safe environment for our students in classrooms and labs; ensure training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and labs; guide and assist students; keep accurate records of student performance and make timely submission of academic records; provide students with timely feedback; maintain office hours; participate in departmental/institutional operations and program review; create a learning environment that fosters student success; develop, integrate, evaluate, and review student learning outcomes in support of the College’s ongoing accreditation; and contribute to a collegial and collaborative work environment. Required Qualifications For non‑transfer classes – Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field or a Professional Degree in an appropriate field. For transferable classes – Master’s Degree in appropriate field or a Professional Degree in an appropriate field. In‑depth knowledge of subject matter to be taught. Commitment to excellence in teaching. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated participation in committees and institutional building activities.
