Job Description
The Restaurant Shift Leader plays a vital role in overseeing small teams to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service. This position requires managing shifts effectively, maintaining food safety standards, handling cash operations, and resolving customer and staff conflicts. The role involves working with Point of Sale (POS) systems and adapting to flexible shift schedules based on business demand.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team of 5 or fewer during shifts
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relations
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
- Resolve conflicts among customers and team members promptly
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for scheduling and inventory management
- Adapt to flexible shifts based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in restaurant operations
- Servesafe certification
- Strong knowledge of customer service and food safety standards
- Experience with cash management and team leadership
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
- Effective problem-solving and time management abilities
