Your New Role

• Diagnose, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and energy management systems
• Service commercial and industrial equipment in retail, supermarket, warehouse, restaurant, medical, and industrial environments
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Repair or replace defective components and adjust system controls for optimal performance
• Perform equipment startups, diagnostics, repairs, and system testing
• Service walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, rooftop units, air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, ice machines, exhaust fans, commercial food service equipment, and supermarket refrigeration systems
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly with customers
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and service inventory
• Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled
• Represent Samsun Mechanical professionally while providing quality customer service

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
• Five or more years of commercial HVAC/R service experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills for commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls
• Commercial refrigeration experience preferred
• Grocery store or supermarket refrigeration experience preferred
• Experience with HVAC/R controls, including Novar, Emerson/CPC, and Danfoss, preferred
• Experience with parallel rack refrigeration systems preferred
• Trade school or vocational training preferred
• Experience servicing equipment such as:
  
  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Reach-in coolers and freezers
  • Supermarket low-temperature and medium-temperature cases
  • Parallel rack systems
  • Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
  • Medical and laboratory refrigeration equipment
  • Ice machines

  • Furnaces

  • Air conditioners
  • Packaged rooftop units (RTUs)
  • Air handlers
  • Air curtains
  • Exhaust fans
  • Energy Management Systems (EMS)

• Experience working in supermarket, grocery, retail, warehouse, storage, or other commercial refrigeration environments is a plus
