Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a surgical center setting. This position involves providing preoperative care in a busy surgical environment, focusing on surgical procedures including same-day and overnight stays. Candidates will support a variety of procedures and collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week, with occasional midnight shifts, including participation in weekend rotations and on-call schedule, such as one weekend scheduled shift and one secondary call day per scheduling period.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty; valid Nursing License to submit; willingness to wait for licensure; ability to work in a surgical center environment.
• Additional Information: This is a preoperative area within a surgical center, not a free-standing surgical facility. Scrubbing required for procedures, including robotic surgeries. Experience or skills in IV placement, surgical care, and robotics required. Candidates must be familiar with electronic medical records systems such as Sunrise and EPIC. Scrub color/dress code provided by the facility. Support includes all procedures, including same-day and overnight stays, with a focus on preoperative care.
• Certifications required include BLS. No specific educational degree requirement stated.
• Schedule: Day shift with rotating shifts around 8 to 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must hold a valid Drivers License, and licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
