DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process provider orders for procedures, injections, physical therapy etc.
- This position will be responsible for scheduling all patients for procedures
- Process all orders in a timely matter
- Authorizations Coordinator is responsible for obtaining patients authorizations for procedures.
- The individual must contact patients and orchestrate any pre-operative testing that needs to be done
REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Knowledge A MUST.
- Familiar with HMO and PPO plans.
- Must have previous experience in scheduling insurance covered surgeries
- Must have a neat appearance and be friendly, courteous, patient and tactful with patients and patient families
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate well with patients, physicians, office staff, vendors and outside practice advisors
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability independently and as a team member
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
