Join our dedicated urgent care team as a Veterinary Technician, where you'll play a critical role in patient care, client communication, and life-saving support. Key Responsibilities: As a Veterinary Technician in our urgent care setting, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Safely restrain animals using low-stress handling techniques Triage and assess incoming patients to prioritize care Collect and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin, etc.) Perform diagnostic imaging and accurately capture radiographs Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep, procedures, and recovery Provide high-quality nursing care to stable and critical patients Accurately document patient histories and interpret medical records Communicate treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clients Qualifications We're looking for: Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required) Flexibility to work rotating weekends (required) Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude Excellent communication and customer service skills Solid understanding of preventative care, hospital workflow, and surgical procedures Competence in sample collection, lab test processing, radiograph positioning, and anesthetic monitoring The ability to accept and act on constructive feedback to support hospital efficiency A self-starter mentality with a commitment to continued learning and professional development Additional Information We offer our staff: Comprehensive Benefits (health, dental, vision, liability, 401k & 401K matching program, life & supplemental insurance, HSA, & FSA) Employee Assistance Program Paid Vacation and Sick Time for ALL Employees Paid Bereavement Program Paid Parental Leave Program Competitive Compensation Continuing Education Allowance (applies to licensed/registered/certified roles) Tuition Reimbursement Program Available to any AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology Program Career Development Opportunities Referral Bonus Program for most positions!
