Human Resources Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Development and administration of benefits, HRIS, filing and retention of HR related documentation. Responsible for 401k plan administration, work injury plan, tuition assistance program, tracking benefits deductions in HRIS and making appropriate adjustments. Reconciliation and payment processing for monthly benefit invoices. Sends appropriate communication with regards to benefit updates and changes. Answers all benefit related questions. Assist with employee relations. Track and maintain all leave of absences which includes obtaining appropriate medical certifications, sending appropriate correspondence, and communicating with employees within the framework of FMLA and all other applicable regulations. Assists with policies and procedure and day to day HR functions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. At least two years HR experience and/or training required; hospital background preferred.

2. Previous experience coordinating employee benefits, e.g. health, dental, vision, etc. required.

3. Current working knowledge in benefits management software preferred

4. Must be able to handle employee relations situations (such as terminations, counseling's, etc)

5. Must have current knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

6. Familiar with Joint Commission, State and CMS standards.

7. Current skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and HR/Payroll systems preferred.
