Senior Litigation Attorney

We are partnered with a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm with a strong reputation in insurance defense, construction litigation, and complex casualty matters. With a broad national footprint and a deep bench of experienced trial attorneys, the firm represents insurers, contractors, developers, transportation companies, and other sophisticated clients in high-exposure litigation across New York and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Construction / General Liability Litigation Attorney to join a highly regarded defense litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to handle a sophisticated mix of New York Labor Law, construction defect, premises liability, transportation, and general casualty matters , while working closely with seasoned litigators on significant and complex cases. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload of construction, general liability, premises liability, and transportation-related matters from inception through resolution Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation Defend claims involving New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240, and 241 as well as high-exposure casualty and construction accident matters Work directly with clients, carriers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop litigation strategy and provide regular case updates Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters, including catastrophic injury and multi-party litigation Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to overall case strategy and client service initiatives Qualifications J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Admission to the New York Bar 3+ years of defense litigation experience Strong background handling construction litigation, general liability, insurance defense, and/or premises liability matters Experience independently managing cases and client relationships Demonstrated deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience Trial experience as first or second chair is highly desirable Knowledge of New York Labor Law and construction accident litigation strongly preferred This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished litigator seeking a long-term platform with significant responsibility, sophisticated work, partnership-track potential, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
