As an emerging engineering team within the Channel, Retail and Events PD org, the Channel Store Product Design (CSPD) team designs store fixtures that bring products to life across an expansive and diverse global network of partner stores. By balancing beauty, safety, sustainability, and reliability, the team delivers the exceptional experiences customers expect.Required Skills & Qualifications:B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 7 years relevant experienceStrong mechanical intuition and understanding of solid mechanics and material propertiesExcited to work and learn in a collaborative environmentSelf-motivated, curious, and attentive to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsPrior work experience at the client or in the client's industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & Qualifications:Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD softwareFamiliarity with metal manufacturing methodologiesExperience with FEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysisDay-to-Day Responsibilities:Engineer dozens of fixtures at a time (tables, walls, and other furniture elements) at international vendors utilizing an ODM development modelCollaborate with and present to various cross-functional teams at all job levels to refine aesthetics and customer experience and meet all program goalsIterate on and validate designs to ensure successful mass production using manufacturing data, reliability tests, and stress, failure, and tolerance analysesDevelop manufacturing processes and tooling designs with external vendorsGenerate and accept constructive feedback in brainstorming and design reviewsTravel up to 15% both domestically and internationally to vendors and installation sites to realize the physical design and find root cause for failuresCompany Benefits & Culture:Innovative and diverse work environmentOpportunities for professional development and skill acquisitionEngagement in meaningful and unexpected ways to drive innovation
