We are seeking an entry level Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in concrete finishing and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results on time.

Duties

• Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including forming and grading surfaces.

• Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes.

• Drive vehicles with trailers, ensuring they are properly loaded and have all of the necessary equipment

• Collaborate with project manager, carpenters, landscapers, site superintendent, and other tradespeople to ensure proper integration of concrete work with other construction elements.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations.

• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the finishing process and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

• MOST IMPORTANT: A strong work ethic and a good attitude. This is a hard job that will take someone dedicated to learning and completing physical labor all day.

  • Willingness to Learn: Everyone has more to learn, no matter how much you know, your job every day is to learn more.

• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery safely.

• Familiarity with additional construction skills such as carpentry is a plus.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.

Note: As this is a construction labor job, it is understood that while we will try to have you working every day, bad weather may or may not cancel the job for the day. The goal is for each finisher to work roughly 40-45 hours a week.

The compensation listed is a range. However, candidates should not expect an offer beyond the lower end unless they have significant experience finishing all types of flatwork.
